The Lodge
29 Dukes Meadow is a wood-built Scandanavian style lodge. Its spacious layout consists of three bedrooms, a lounge/dining room, kitchen and bathroom and a small private deck. The lodge is furnished to a high standard and fully equipped. Floor to ceiling windows, a vaulted ceiling and a wood burning stove are just a few of the features which give 29 Dukes Meadow an atmosphere of comfort, peace and relaxation. The surrounding grounds are large and there is ample parking available.

Bedrooms - one double, one twin, one single
Lounge/Dining room - wood burning stove, TV/video, CD player/radio
Kitchen - electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine
Bathroom - shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
All electric and bed linen provided. Cot and highchair are available on request.

The Location
Dukes Meadow is located midway between Keswick and Penrith and within a short drive of Lake Ullswater. It is in one of the quietest and least known areas in the Lake District, somehow Cumbrians have successfully kept this area very much to themselves and jealously protect its peace and tranquility. This beautiful area is best described as being quiet, unspoilt and un-commercialized yet is very accessible from the motorway system, the M6 (Junctions 40 and 41) are 15 and 10 minutes drive away respectively. This makes 29 Dukes Meadow ideally located to explore not only the Lake District but the superb countryside of the Eden Valley, Northern Pennines, Hadrians Wall and the Scottish Borders. |
